FAN'S FAVORITE VISUAL MOMENTS

On this page, you will find favorite visual moments submitted by fans.  I originally thought of doing this when I created the Quote site but wanted to see how the site would be accepted... then after reading the NewsRadio newsgroup, and read all the Favorite Visual Moments, I thought, "this is a no-brainer."  Since many of the FVM's (Fave Visual Moments) consist of several characters, I've decided to compile them by episode.  Eventually, I'm sure I will have to create multiple pages by season but for now... let's keep it all together.  Here we go!

BALLOON

When Mr. James is supposed to be navigating the world in a hot-air balloon and goes into WNYX for a coffee break.  When drinking from the coffee pot (the one containing Bill's tobacco spit), he does a tremendous spit take and runs out of the room after being discovered by Dave... who is watching Mr. James "live" on television.

Bill removes his nicotine patch and puts it in his mouth.   After grimacing... stock footage of the ambulance.

PRESIDENT

When Matthew turns around (sloooowly) exposing his mustache (circa 1980 Freddie Mercury), Beth screams and runs, Lisa does a spit take, and Catherine just smacks him.

 

MONSTER RANCHER

Matthew break dancing on the dance floor with Lisa.

 

HALLOWEEN

Bill dancing after calling out, "Miestro.."

 

PUBLIC DOMAIN

Dave nearly having a nervous breakdown when everything's going wrong and then Bill is in the background playing the piano.

Bill punching Steve, the assistant efficiency expert.

CATHERINE MOVES ON

When Jimmy James is "telling" Catherine a combination of all the weird stories he heard from the staff.  There's Bill and Catherine on Bill's desk, a disgruntled Dave, Lisa running with her papers in her hand yelling "I can't do this!" and Beth and -Matthew standing by the coffee pot where a man looking like the Hamburgler Boy from McDonald's is smashing coffee pots. When Bill comes to Catherine's apartment with flowers and opens the door and Joe gets naked. Then they hear the message that Catherine leaves. Then Bill says to Joe "I guess these [flowers] are for you".

COMPLAINT BOX

-The entire scene where Dave is reading all the bogus (with the exception of Milos') complaints.

-Mr. James laughing (inside the Garelli box) while he's at the movie theatre with the delivery guy.

GOOFY BALL

-Matthew hitting Bill in the face with the Goofy Ball™ while he's still incapacitated by Joe's homemade Stun Gun. "Do Over..."

 

MEET MAX LOUIS

Max running out of Dave's office.

BEEP BEEP

Matthew's new tiny car beeping while backing up out of Dave's office.

JUMPER

Dave hitting Bill in the head with the door as they're crawling on the floor at the end.

When Bill's cord is attached to the refrigerator in the break room. And as the handle breaks the cord
comes flying and sweeps Matthew who is holding a cup of coffee.

Matthew catching the scissors after failing to catch everything else that Bill and the Jumper (Jon Lovitz) threw down to him.

BIG BROTHER

Matthew hitting the guy at the coffee pot in the face with the Nerf® football.

INJURY

Dave looking at Matthew's hand, thinking it's not that bad.   As he uncovers the wound... stock footage of the ambulance.

SLEEPING

Jimmy falls to the floor after Matthew jumps out of the refrigerator and scares him.  After Catherine and Matthew try to wake him up... stock footage of the ambulance.

WHO'S THE BOSS, PART 1

Matthew jumping over Beth after Joe won't allow him to enter the office.

Dave grabbing the entire tray of coffee cups after he complains, "coffee machine broken, no coffee!"

WHO'S THE BOSS, PART 2

Bill pulling out the "plate of fire" from beneath his desk and then yelling for Matthew.

OUR FIFTIETH EPISODE

Bill scuffling with the police over a parking ticket and goes running off, hand-cuffed, with the police in hot-pursuit (via police car).

SMOKING

Bill in front of a windy, open window provided to him as his "smoking area".

SHRINK

Bill in his cubicle going "downstairs" - better yet - taking the "elevator" going down!

Mr. James' feet as he stretches when waking up on the couch.

RAT FUNERAL

Beth tossing dozens of rats down the shoot during the final "rat services".

When Dave is standing in the lobby and the mail comes out of the elevator and explains: "this is the mail slot, THAT is the incinerator!" (Courtesy Foff315) NEW

LOOK WHO'S TALKING

Bill at the park playground, playing "daytime/night-time" with a child in his coat.

FLOWERS FOR MATTHEW

Matthew as he reads four books at once, with one of the books being upside-down.

MASSAGE CHAIR

Jimmy acting like a "Hard Ass" in the staff meeting, then running back into Dave's office to regroup. Awkward silence. Dave runs into his office to talk to Jimmy. Jimmy, then stumbles back out of Dave's office, acting like Dave was rough with him in there. Jimmy  finally gives in. "OK, OK, Snacks for Everyone."

Then the final scene where Bill announces that he's finally going to let people sit in his massage chair, and everyone runs out into the lobby. Then cut to the scene where Joe, Beth, and Matthew are all enjoying the vibrating chair when it falls apart. (Courtesy David L )

STUPID HOLIDAY CHARITY TALENT SHOW

SECURITY DOOR

When Lisa is trying to talk and Dave is getting really paranoid, listening for the buzz of the door and his eyes are darting around, then he runs out of his office.

 

Dave's cringing back when Lisa opens the blinds in his office because he doesn't want to look and see who's at the door because "that's not how it works", also the part where he's giving the demonstration of how to properly use the door and he has all those hilarious cards with various scenarios on them ("If a wizard were to cast a spell..."). Then Matthew's expression as he suddenly becomes interested in what Dave is going to say.

HAIR

The entire hypnotist segment where Matthew keeps appearing in Mr. James' flashback.  Especially the chicken...

SUPER KARATE MONKEY DEATH CAR

When Jimmy is reading from his autobiography which is garbled from being translated from Japanese to english, and the name changes from Jimmy James: Capitalist Lion Tamer to Jimmy James: Macho Business Donkey Wrestler.  Then later when the audience member was asking him questions and quoting him. "What did you mean when you said, 'feel my scales, donkey, donkey, donkey, donkey, donkey?'"

REVIEW

Bill's in Dave's office, guilting him for saying those stupid things in his Radio Ink interview. He's holding a thermometer (after officing his services to Lisa as a fully-participatory sperm donor, a "toasy 97.4" or whatever it was). They go through the rigamarole:
    Dave: I'm sorry I hurt you...
       Bill LOOKS at him.
    Dave: Deep down inside.
    Bill: Where?
    Dave: [gritted teeth] Where you are soft, like a woman.
    Bill: Don't mock me, Dave. Don't be a hurter.
        And Bill sticks the thermometer in his mouth, turns heel and stalks out.

 

Bill and Jimmy passing each other through Dave's window. "Mornin', Sam." "Mornin', Ralph. I just love that joke."

RAP

When Lisa goes under her desk while on the phone for some privacy and everyone tells Matthew to reach under her desk and grab her. He does and everyone leaves. Lisa hits her head on the desk and the office all scolds Matthew. (Courtesy Foff315) NEW

IN THROUGH THE OUT DOOR

        Where Dave is going to make a speech and Beth is in front of his desk begging him to smuggle her some          breadsticks, bent over with one leg almost all the way up over her head. Jimmy comes in, sees this display          from behind, pauses a beat, and then goes on with what he was saying.

PADDED SUIT

When Joe has to see Max and Matthew fight and Max uses the windmill.  He runs after Matthew,moving his arms in circles.They run around the cornor of WNYX`S lobby,then they run back and Matthew hids in the bathroom.

STOCKS

When Lisa is moving from left to right on her chair tryin gto prove to Dave that she doesn't need a new
one and Catherine walks by and says "Shake it honey."

BITCH SESSION

When Bill is imitating Dave. And when Catherine sees Dave under his desk and all of a sudden acts nice
about Dave.

ARCADE

When the kids mistaken Lisa for being Dave's mom

THE LAM

When Matthew & Jimmy are at Dave's parent's home and Matthew is looking at the Penthouse and Mr. James
takes the Penthouse away it appears that Matthew was laughing at the Casper comic all along.

FREAKY FRIDAY

When Lisa is about to kiss Max and then she says" psyche!"

LED ZEPPELIN

When Matthew gives flowers to Dave saying that they are from Lisa. Then Dave accuses Matthew of giving
flowers to Lisa saying that they were from him. Then after he says "Now why would I do that?" he gets
flowers thrown at him from the door.

When Joe & Beth hear a loud feminine crying coming from the break room, they assume it's Lisa. Then Lisa
comes around and Matthew comes out of the break room.

AWARDS SHOW

When Beth locks Matthew in the cabinet.

JUMPER

When Joe keeps on saying "Yeah" in a dubious tone.

THE REAL DEAL

When Bill plays the tape of his "interview" with Jerry Seinfeld on the radio.

NO PARTICULAR EPISODE

-Beth laughing her ass off but not making any noise.

-Whenever a character is explaining something and Mr. James has enough and starts nodding his head.

-Max flailing his arms either in fear or excitement.

-Anytime Beth says, "Luuuuuuuvvvvvv"

-When Bill says to Joe "You're last name is Garrelli?" After hearing it so many times.
